Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Sweeper to join our team in Abbotsford. This role is essential for maintaining cleanliness and safety across our facilities, ensuring a qualified environment for staff and visitors alike. Prior experience with heavy machinery or automotive repair is a plus, but not required. Duties
Operate sweeping equipment to clean large industrial or commercial spaces efficiently
Assist with the operation of forklifts and other heavy equipment to move debris or materials as necessary
Conduct routine inspections of sweeping machinery and perform basic maintenance or report issues
Support freight handling tasks, including loading and unloading materials when required
Drive commercial vehicles for transportation of equipment or materials between sites
Maintain a clean and organized work environment by removing debris, dust, and other waste
Follow safety protocols during all operations,
including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Skills
Experience with forklift operation, freight handling, or heavy equipment operation is preferred
Knowledge of commercial driving regulations and safe driving practices
Basic automotive repair skills are advantageous for troubleshooting equipment issues
Robust attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
Ability to operate heavy machinery confidently and responsibly
Good physical stamina to perform manual tasks and operate equipment over extended periods
Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately
