A growing Canadian warehousing, manufacturing, and logistics organization is looking for a Warehouse Operator to join its team on a 6-month contract.
This role is ideal for an experienced warehouse qualified who is safety-focused, reliable, organized, and comfortable working in a rapid-paced industrial workplace. The successful candidate will support warehouse operations, product packaging and labeling, inventory accuracy, order staging, and the safe movement of products.
What You'll Do
Prepare and package products according to customer requirements
Match Bills of Lading (BOLs) to physical shipments
Deliver required paperwork to the appropriate personnel
Inspect and segregate damaged products
Maintain accurate physical inventory and perform random inventory audits
Package and label products accurately
Distribute products and stage loads for shipment
Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory practices
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse through daily housekeeping
Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and applicable AWSA protocols
Operate material-handling equipment safely and efficiently
Perform repetitive lifting and physical tasks as required
Identify and report health and safety concerns
Perform other warehouse and operational duties as assigned
What We're Looking For
1+ year of manufacturing or industrial warehouse experience
1+ year of order picker forklift experience
2+ years of counterbalance forklift experience preferred
Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to follow instructions and established procedures
Strong commitment to workplace safety
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Good manual dexterity and ability to perform hands-on tasks
Previous Working at Heights training or experience is considered an asset
Willingness to work overtime when required
