Company Description The Canadian Home Builders’ Association - Nova Scotia (CHBA-NS) is the voice of the residential construction industry in Nova Scotia, representing the interests of home builders, renovators, and related professionals. For more than 50 years, CHBA-NS has promoted quality, choice, and affordable housing for all Nova Scotians. Role Description The Membership & Operations Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Halifax, NS. This role is responsible for supporting day-to-day association operations, including managing member records, processing applications and renewals, and maintaining accurate databases. The position coordinates member communications, responds to inquiries, and provides front-line customer service to current and prospective members.
The coordinator assists with organizing events,
meetings, and training sessions, as well as preparing materials, reports, and administrative documentation. This role also supports operational projects, helps streamline processes, and collaborates with the broader team to enhance member engagement and organizational efficiency.
Qualifications
Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to interact effectively with members, partners, and internal teams.
Demonstrated Operations Management and Administrative Assistance abilities to support daily office functions and membership processes.
Solid Analytical Skills to manage data, prepare reports, and identify opportunities to improve operations and member services.
Proficiency with office software, databases, and digital communication tools.
Robust organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Experience in association, non-profit, or membership-based organizations is an asset.
Post-secondary education in business, administration, communications, or a related field, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
