The University of Manitoba is seeking an Indigenous Education and Outreach Coordinator for 21 hours a week. This position runs from October 13, 2026, to April 14, 2028, and is designated for Indigenous candidates. The role requires a robust understanding of Indigenous cultures and the ability to develop meaningful educational programs for various audiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop educational programs and public workshops
Build relationships with Indigenous communities and artists
Ensure cultural protocols are respected in programs
Research Indigenous artists for gallery collections
Support engagement initiatives with the Vice-President (Indigenous)
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Indigenous Studies
One year of administrative experience required
Four years’ experience with educational groups
Solid understanding of Indigenous protocols
Excellent organizational and communication skills
