Lead transformative library initiatives at Memorial University in St. John’s, NL. As Dean of Libraries, you will oversee a comprehensive library system driving student success and research excellence.The Dean of Libraries (University Librarian) reports directly to the Provost and Vice-President (Academic). This role involves strategic leadership, partnership building, and stewardship of resources across multiple campuses. You will champion equitable access to knowledge while fostering an inclusive culture that supports diverse teams and community engagement.Key Responsibilities:
Provide visionary leadership for the library system
Manage a multi-campus library network effectively
Promote research excellence and open scholarship




Build relationships with Indigenous communities and stakeholders
Lead organizational culture towards diversity and inclusionRequirements:
ALA accredited Master's degree in Library Science
Proven leadership within academic libraries
Robust supervisory and budget management experience
Commitment to Indigenization and equity initiatives
