About the Role Our client is looking for a highly competent and self-motivated Electrical Systems Designer to join their engineering department on a fully remote basis, supporting projects across South Africa, including those in Kimberley . This role requires a creative and analytical thinker to design robust and efficient electrical systems for diverse applications. You will be responsible for conceptualization, detailed design, and specification of electrical components and infrastructure. Key Responsibilities Develop detailed electrical system designs, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts.
Select appropriate electrical components, materials, and equipment based on project requirements and budget constraints.
Perform power system analysis , including load flow, short circuit, and protection studies.
Ensure designs comply with all relevant national and international electrical codes and standards.




Collaborate remotely with project managers, clients, and other engineering disciplines to integrate electrical designs.
Stay updated on industry trends and new technologies in electrical system design.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical system design.
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN) and relevant simulation tools.
Strong understanding of power distribution, protection systems, and control circuits.
Excellent technical documentation and communication skills for remote interaction.
Proven ability to work autonomously and manage design projects effectively from a distance.
