Our public sector client is seeking a Technical Architecture Specialist (10+ years) to support disaster recovery architecture, testing, and enterprise resilience initiatives

Join a large-scale public sector disaster recovery initiative supporting critical business services and enterprise resilience capabilities. This role focuses on disaster recovery architecture, recovery planning, testing, readiness assessments, and continual improvement across enterprise infrastructure and application environments. The position works closely with application owners, infrastructure teams, cybersecurity teams, architects, and vendors to support recovery capabilities aligned to approved RTOs and RPOs. The engagement includes both project delivery and ongoing disaster recovery sustainment activities.

Contract, Toronto, Hybrid, Working Hours: EST

Must Haves

10+ years in enterprise infrastructure , disaster recovery , or technical architecture disciplines

Designing, implementing, reviewing, or testing DR , failover technologies, and high-availability solutions in large enterprise environments

Application and IT infrastructure recovery architectures, readiness assessments, and technical risk assessments

Implementation of Windows , Linux, VMware, storage, databases, networking, and cybersecurity technologies

Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent experience

Nice to Have

Experience in a large public-sector or highly regulated environment

Industry certifications including CBCP, MBCI, ISO 22301, ITIL, TOGAF, Azure, AWS, or related certifications





Project management experience across the full lifecycle of technology implementation and configuration

Experience working with cross-functional technical and business stakeholders

Responsibilities

Provide technical expertise supporting disaster recovery and enterprise resilience initiatives

Assess application and infrastructure recovery architectures

Develop and review disaster recovery solution designs and recovery strategies

Coordinate disaster recovery testing programs, simulations, and failover tests

Support development of recovery plans, runbooks, and technical procedures

Monitor compliance with disaster recovery requirements and readiness objectives

Prepare technical reports, governance updates, and sustainment documentation
