As a Senior Actuary, you will report to the Vice President of Tax & Treasurer and play a crucial role in developing actuarial capabilities. This position focuses on P&C; underwriting and retrocession risks, requiring a fellow-level actuarial designation and robust analytical skills. You’ll create internal models for risk evaluation and contribute to risk framework enhancements with senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess P&C; underwriting and retrocession risks for compliance
• Develop and analyze internal models for risk pricing
• Perform scenario analyses to predict adverse events impact
• Validate third-party actuarial outputs and align assumptions
• Prepare risk reports for stakeholders and regulatory bodies
Requirements:
• Fellow-level actuarial designation (FCAS, FIA, etc.)
• 7+ years in P&C; insurance or reinsurance
• Experience in pricing, reserving, capital modeling
• Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and MS Office
• Robust communication skills with senior stakeholders
