Position Summary

NanoVation Therapeutics (NVTx) is looking for a collaborative and solution-focused Lab and Logistics Coordinator to join our team.

Reporting to our Lab Manager, our Lab and Logistics Coordinator plays a central role in ensuring that NanoVation’s R&D; environment is secure, efficient, and ready to accelerate the development of innovative genetic medicines through our global partnerships. Working closely with our Scientific and Operations teams, this individual coordinates lab supplies, waste disposal, specialized shipments, receiving, and other operational tasks including maintenance of lab equipment and facilities.

Our ideal candidate is a strong communicator and a flexible multitasker who enjoys taking on a variety of work. This role offers the opportunity to learn and grow in a life sciences operational role.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Lab Operations

Monitors lab consumables inventory levels and reorders when needed

Engages with vendors to obtain quotes and negotiate pricing for lab consumables and supplies

Stows, restocks, and organizes inventory





Replenishes dry ice, cryogens, and compressed gasses

Coordinates chemical and biohazard waste disposal

Supports the coordination of facilities and lab equipment maintenance services

Assists with basic lab equipment operation

Acts as the primary point of contact for coordination of specialized laboratory shipments to partners and collaborators, ensuring timely delivery and receipt

Assesses shipment requirements and plans appropriately

Accurately completes shipping and customs documentation

Packages and arranges pickup for shipments

Monitors shipments, communicates changes in status, and resolves issues that arise in transit

Monitors and maintains an adequate supply of shipping materials

Receiving & Inbound Logistics

Acts as the primary point of contact for incoming shipments and deliveries

Monitors inbound shipments and orders, resolves any issues ahead of delivery

Receives and unpacks inbound shipments and deliveries, confirms the correct receipt of goods, reconciles to POs to packing slips, and stocks goods in appropriate locations

Communicates any shipment discrepancies with the requestor and Finance team

Updates chemical inventory and SDS management software as required

Monitors shipments, communicates changes in status, and resolves issues that arise in transit

Monitors and maintains an adequate supply of shipping material

Works with the operations team to implement continuous improvement projects





Identifies opportunities to enhance efficiency and streamline workflows

Education & Experience Required:

1-2+ years of lab experience with a focus on operations and/or logistics

WHIMIS certification and experience with BSL-1/2

Experience with shipping software, customs documentation, and specialized shipments including temperature control and TDG

Experience and ability to safely and confidently lift and move up to 35 lbs.

Experience working with chemical inventory management software is an asset

Experience working in Smartsheet is an asset

What we offer

Your Total Rewards package will include many components, including:

Salary range $64,000 - $74,000 (Your employment offer will be determined based on many factors as part of our total rewards package.)
