Location: Various locations across Ontario
As aMechanical Inspector, you will be responsible for inspecting mechanical systemsand installations to ensure they comply with local codes, regulations, andsafety standards. Your role will be essential in maintaining the safety andoperational efficiency of mechanical systems within the jurisdiction.
KeyResponsibilities Inspect mechanical systems,equipment, and installations to ensure compliance with local codes, safetyregulations, and industry standards.
Review mechanical plans andspecifications to verify they meet all required regulations and technicalrequirements.
Conduct inspections of HVACsystems, plumbing systems, elevators, and other mechanical installationsat various stages of construction and operation.
Identify and documentviolations, deficiencies, or hazards in mechanical systems and recommendcorrective actions.




Prepare detailed inspectionreports and maintain accurate records of inspections, compliance, andenforcement actions.
Provide technical guidanceand support to contractors, engineers, and property owners regardingmechanical codes and safety practices.
Respond to inquiries andcomplaints related to mechanical installations and code compliance.
Stay updated on changes inmechanical codes, regulations, and industry best practices to ensureaccurate inspections and recommendations.
Collaborate with other municipal departments andagencies to address and resolve mechanical-related issues.
Requirements Relevant certification ordiploma in Mechanical Inspection, Mechanical Engineering, or a relatedfield.
Proven experience as amechanical inspector or in a similar role, with a strong understanding ofmechanical codes and safety regulations.
Excellent observational andanalytical skills for assessing mechanical systems and identifying issues.
Solid communication skillsfor interacting with contractors, engineers, and municipal officials.
Detail-oriented with strongorganizational skills for managing inspection reports and records.
Ability to stay current with evolving mechanicalcodes, regulations, and industry practices.
