Support Inuit families as a Visitation Program Assistant at Inuuqatigiït Centre in Ottawa. Engage with children and parents in culturally secure, community-based environments.
This full-time role, under the supervision of the Manager of Family Well-Being, involves implementing community programs for families connected to the Children’s Aid Society. You will support positive parent engagement, create protected visit spaces, and help execute family-oriented activities. An integral part of this position is attending case management meetings and collaborating with community members.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan outreach to families and community agencies
• Facilitate culturally protected visitations for families
• Coordinate transportation for CAS visits as needed
• Support engagement in community resources and events
• Document program progress and address challenges
Requirements:
• Preferred Inuit descent with related educational background
• Minimum one year experience with families in Inuit communities
• Strong organizational and program planning skills
• Medical certification and Police Record Check required
• Driver’s License necessary
