TIFF is seeking a Senior Manager of Government Relations to lead advocacy initiatives from its Toronto office. In this vital role, you will develop strategies and foster relationships with key political stakeholders.
In this full time, permanent role, you will report to the Director of Government Relations, guiding TIFF's efforts to address infrastructure and funding goals. You'll prepare impactful presentations for government stakeholders, monitoring public policy trends and art-related legislation. Your diplomacy and relationship-building skills will be critical in maintaining trusted connections across all levels of government.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute advocacy strategies aligning with TIFF’s mission
• Prepare presentations and briefings for key government stakeholders
• Monitor public policy trends affecting the arts and culture sectors
• Draft compelling policy briefs and position papers
• Cultivate relationships with elected officials and public service staff
Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in Political Science or related field
• Minimum 7+ years in government relations or advocacy roles
• Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders and build networks
• Deep understanding of Canadian political processes
