Norbert?s Trailers, a division of BD Manufacturing Ltd., is a Manitoba-based trailer manufacturer located approximately 10 miles west of Glenboro. The company manufactures livestock, flat-deck, utility and other custom trailer products.
We are looking for a skilled and dependable Welders / Fabricators to join our manufacturing team and help build high-quality trailers from steel components and fabricated assemblies.
Position Responsibilities
Perform welding on steel trailer components and assemblies.
Read and interpret fabrication drawings, blueprints and work instructions.
Fit, position and tack components prior to welding.
Complete welds to required quality and dimensional specifications.
Use welding machines, grinders, saws, drills and other fabrication equipment safely.
Measure components using tape measures, squares, levels and other basic measuring tools.
Inspect completed welds and assemblies for quality, appearance and accuracy.
Identify and correct welding or fabrication issues before the product moves to the next stage.
Follow established production standards and work-order requirements.
Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area.
Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Previous welding and fabrication experience preferred.
Experience welding structural steel is an asset.
Trailer manufacturing, agricultural equipment, heavy equipment or similar fabrication experience is an asset.
Ability to read and understand basic fabrication drawings and measurements.
Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work with hand and power tools.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Reliable attendance and a solid work ethic.
