Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

Must be 18 years of age or older.

Successful applicants without relevant health care education/background will be required to complete the tuition free Red River College micro-credential Uncertified Health Care Aide course.

Required to successfully complete 7-day program consisting of:

5 consecutive days virtual learning (Monday to Friday)

2 consecutive days of skills labs (Saturday and Sunday) - physical distancing/public health requirements will be followed.

Dates of program:

Course commences on Monday, November 2, 2026 (November 2-6 online)

Skills labs will be held in Winnipeg on November 7 and 8 (in-person).





Applicants must successfully complete the 7-day micro-credential before they can commence working as uncertified Health Care Aides.

Physical Requirements

Position may involve physical activities such as standing, transferring, and transporting patients and equipment.

May encounter aggressive and/or agitated individuals.

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.

Please note that an employee is not permitted to hold two or more positions in Shared Health that combine to equal more than 1.0 FTE.
