About the Role Our client is seeking a strategic and analytical Asset Manager to oversee their growing portfolio of renewable energy assets in the Northern Cape and across South Africa. This role is pivotal in maximizing the financial and operational performance of wind and solar power projects. You will be responsible for monitoring asset performance, managing operational contracts, identifying optimization opportunities, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and contractual obligations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of energy markets, financial modeling, and the technical aspects of renewable energy generation. This position offers a significant opportunity to influence the performance of key sustainable energy infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities Monitor and analyze the performance of a diverse portfolio of renewable energy assets (wind and solar farms).
Manage relationships with Independent Power Producers (IPPs), O&M; providers, and other key stakeholders.
Develop and implement strategies to optimize asset performance, enhance revenue, and reduce operational costs.
Prepare financial forecasts, budgets, and performance reports for asset management activities.
Ensure compliance with all contractual agreements, PPA terms,



and regulatory requirements.
Identify and evaluate potential risks and opportunities related to the asset portfolio.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Finance, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in asset management, project finance, or a related role, with a significant focus on the renewable energy sector.
Robust understanding of financial modeling, performance analysis, and risk management principles.
Knowledge of South African energy market regulations and PPAs.
Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
Ability to interpret technical performance data and translate it into financial and strategic insights.
