Reporting to the Manager of Catastrophe Risk, you'll develop catastrophe peril models using industry-standard software like RMS and VERISK. Collaborate with actuaries and underwriters to enhance model accuracy and evaluate risk exposures. Your analyses will directly influence catastrophe modeling implementation, and you will communicate findings effectively to stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and calibrate catastrophe peril models using RMS and VERISK
• Analyze historical data and insurance claims for model accuracy
• Collaborate closely with actuaries and underwriters on risk exposure
• Interpret model outputs to evaluate risk perspectives
• Conduct scenario testing to assess variable impacts on risk
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, or related field
• Minimum 3 years in catastrophe modeling using RMS or AIR Verisk
• Proficiency in R, SQL, or similar programming languages
• Robust analytical and communication skills
