At Fry's Custom Contracting Ltd. we are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our construction team. We are however, willing to train the right individual to be a successful employee as a driver. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting equipment and materials safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies. This role requires a strong focus on safety, reliability, and customer service, ensuring that deliveries are made on time and in excellent condition.
Duties
Operate commercial trucks to transport freight to designated locations.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of goods.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times.
Communicate effectively with Managers, Supervisors and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
Adhere to all local, state, and federal transportation regulations.
Assist with basic mechanical repairs as needed to ensure vehicle reliability.
Operate forklifts and heavy equipment when necessary for loading and unloading tasks.
Qualifications
Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
Experience in commercial driving with a solid understanding of freight transportation.
Knowledge of mechanical repair is a plus for maintaining vehicle performance.
Familiarity with equipment is preferred but we are willing to train the right candidate in productive loading and unloading of cargo.
Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and effectively when required.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping.
Excellent communication skills for interacting with team members and clients.
Must be able to pass background checks as required by company policy.

Pay: $28.00-$30.00 per hour
