Major Responsibilities: Assist data engineers with ingestion, transformation, and validation of data from operational and external systems into analytics-ready formats.
Support creation, documentation, and maintenance of data pipelines across Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, and other key platforms.
Support data optimization initiatives by building inventory of data assets, identifying people and process dependencies, assessing usage and value, and coordinating appropriate actions.
Help maintain metadata quality by updating data lineage, glossary terms, and classifications within data and governance platforms (such as Microsoft Purview).
Participate in routine data quality assessments and assist in identifying upstream data issues.
Develop and test information classification policies that help identify and protect sensitive information in the environment.
Collaborate with the Data and AI Management team to prepare reference materials and learning aids to support data literacy and onboarding.
Contribute to team demonstrations, office hours, or training sessions that help business teams adopt data products and governance processes.
Assist in documenting standards, repeatable patterns, and best practices related to data engineering and governance.
Participate in cross-functional meetings with product teams, operational teams, and data platform teams.
Support continuous improvement activities by collecting feedback and updating documentation.
Contribute to OCM-related activities that promote data-driven culture and engagement.




Education Required: Enrolled in a post-secondary program related to Information Technology, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (1st to 4th year)
Must be eligible to work in Canada
Qualifications & Experience: Familiarity with Python, SQL, or other scripting languages is an asset
Interest in cloud data platforms (Azure, Databricks, Fabric) is beneficial
Familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools (Teams, SharePoint, Power BI, OneDrive)
Interest in data governance or cataloging tools (Purview experience is an asset)
Ability to document tasks and keep work organized

Salary: Co-Op BA,



Business Analytics (CUPE 2026 rates) $25.70 - $26.00 - $28.12
Location: This role will be part of our hybrid (home and office) workforce with office workspace located at ENMAX Place (141 - 50th Avenue SE, Calgary, AB). You will have the option to work from home on Mondays and Fridays and work in the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
