DHL Express is looking for a Casual Courier Driver in Mount Hope, Ontario . This is a casual position with no set schedule; shift availability must be between 7am and 10pm. The wage is $23.33/hour and will increase as per the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities
Drive a van to complete assigned deliveries and pickups
Lift and carry parcels up to 70 lbs per piece throughout the shift
Interact with customers professionally, both in person and over the phone
Work effectively and on time within tight time constraints
Scan and process freight as per agreed procedures and Security Policies
Move freight within the warehouse area as required
Accurately sort and process inbound material by deadlines
Assist the Tracing Department with warehouse checks for missorts and on-hands
Perform accurate reporting
Participate in the organization and clean-up of the warehouse area
Maintain a safe and co-operative work environment
Meet all security requirements
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid Class G (Class 5) driver's licence with a clean driving record
Broad general working knowledge of warehouse functions
Positive knowledge of MS Office; comfortable Excel user
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
Excellent ability to multi-task
Demonstrated ability to work under pressure
Able to handle bulky, heavy, awkward shipments
Able to stand for long periods of time
Minimum one year warehouse/customer service experience (asset)
Understanding of First Choice Programs and Global SOP (asset)
