McCowan Drug Mart is looking for a reliable and patient-focused Community Pharmacist to join our team on a contract basis from January through August 2027, providing maternity leave coverage.

We are an established community pharmacy that values personalized patient care, teamwork, and a positive work environment. We are looking for someone who is confident working independently while also being a collaborative and supportive member of our pharmacy team.

Responsibilities
Provide secure and effective prescription dispensing and medication management
Counsel patients on medications, health conditions, and treatment plans
Conduct medication reviews and provide appropriate clinical recommendations
Assess prescriptions and identify potential drug therapy issues
Communicate with physicians and other healthcare professionals as needed
Provide vaccinations and other expanded scope pharmacy services, as authorized
Support day-to-day pharmacy operations and ensure excellent patient service
Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all regulatory requirements




Work collaboratively with pharmacy assistants and other team members

Qualifications
Licensed Pharmacist in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists
Previous community pharmacy experience preferred
Solid clinical knowledge and attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Comfortable working independently and making sound clinical decisions
Qualified, dependable, and patient-focused
Experience with Fillware is an asset
Chinese language proficiency (Mandarin and/or Cantonese) is considered an asset to support communication with our diverse patient population.

We are looking for someone who can confidently lead the pharmacy during this period while maintaining a welcoming, patient-focused setting and supporting our experienced pharmacy team.

Pay: $52.00-$60.00 per hour
