Overview
We are seeking a qualified and reliable Class 1 Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating commercial trucks to deliver freight efficiently across designated routes. Duties
Safely operate Class 1 trucks, tractor-trailers.
Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as palletjet when necessary
Drive route-specific deliveries, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods
Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure safety standards are met
Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local transportation regulations
Complete necessary paperwork and documentation related to deliveries and vehicle logs
Follow designated routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and safety protocols
Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules or any issues encountered during routes
Skills
Proven experience in commercial driving, including truck driving.
Ability to load & unload freight safely and efficiently
Robust knowledge of route driving and delivery procedures
Experience with forklift operation is a plus for loading/unloading tasks
Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance
Good navigation skills and familiarity with GPS systems for route planning
Ability to handle physically demanding tasks such as lifting heavy loads when necessary
Solid communication skills for coordinating deliveries and reporting issues
