Responsibilities
Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments to ensure a secure and productive workspace
Assist dentists during a variety of procedures, including fillings, extractions, orthodontics, and pediatrics
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays)
Manage patient records using dental software such as Dentrix and Epic, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions
Qualifications
Valid certification as a Dental Assistant from an accredited program
Experience with dental software platforms such as Abeldent and Dentrix is highly preferred
Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry and orthodontics
Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices to effectively assist with children’s treatments
Basic understanding of CAD technology used in digital imaging and treatment planning
Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and patients
Previous experience in dental assisting within orthodontics or pediatrics is a plus
