Reporting to the Reservations Manager, the Reservations Agent is the first point of contact for customers booking motor coach tours and group travel. The agent handles inquiries by phone, email, and online, and guides customers through itinerary selection, pricing, and final booking. The role calls for accurate, courteous service and the ability to manage bookings in a fast-paced, seasonal setting. The ideal candidate is highly organized, and passionate about delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced setting.
Duties
Process tour reservations, inquiries and cancellations (web, phone and in person booking)
Maintain up-to-date reservation records and ensure all guest details are correctly entered into the system
Assist in processing final confirmations
Mail out of flyers, process inbound mail
Assist with general office duties as required
Sale of travel insurance (if no experience, complete insurance training within 30 days of hire)
Assist in group sales as needed
General Administrative support for co-ordination
Direct calls for other departments
Maintain excellent customer service by returning emails and voicemail in a timely manner
Requirements
TICO Certification
Diploma in Travel & Tourism with at least one year in travel sales experience
Travel insurance sales experience considered an asset
Must speak and write fluently in English
Must be eligible to work in Canada.
Must be able to multi-task and set priorities
Must have proficient computer skills (working knowledge of Word & Excel), with the ability to learn a booking software system.
