Our client, an independent Quebec-based claims adjusting firm with over 50 years of experience, is looking for a Claims Adjuster - Special Investigation Unit (SIU) to support its continued growth and strengthen its team of fraud investigation specialists.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex claims, conduct in-depth investigations, and play a key role in identifying, analyzing, and resolving potentially fraudulent insurance claims.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Manage claims files involving indicators of potential fraud
Conduct detailed investigations, including interviews with insureds and witnesses
Travel as required to complete investigations and gather supporting evidence
Analyze claims files, documentation, and evidence collected throughout the investigation process
Determine the circumstances and causes of losses
Assess damages and negotiate settlements when appropriate
Evaluate indemnity requests based on policy coverages, exclusions, and conditions
Clearly communicate claim denials or coverage decisions to policyholders in a professional manner
Prepare thorough and detailed investigative reports
IDEAL CANDIDATE Valid 5A Claims Adjuster License (Personal and Commercial Lines)
Minimum of 3 years of claims adjusting experience
Proven experience handling fraud investigations
Strong investigative and analytical skills
Ability to make sound decisions in complex situations
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Fluency in English
Valid driver's license
Ability to travel as required
Self-motivated, professional, and detail-oriented
