Based out of St. Francis Secondary School, the Library Clerk, under the direction of the principal,
assists in maintaining an organized, welcoming, and efficient school library. This role is responsible for supporting day-to-day library operations, including organizing and maintaining library materials, assisting students and staff with locating resources, circulation of materials, and completing general administrative tasks. The Library Clerk regularly engages with students, teachers, and other school staff. The ideal candidate for this role is collaborative, organized, flexible, and able to adapt to various tasks within a busy school setting.
Essential Qualifications
Experience performing routine clerical tasks such as, tracking and data entry, photocopying, scanning, faxing, and filing/records management.
Experience working with youth
Experience working in a library setting or similar environment would be an asset
Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may be equally considered.
