The Prospect:
TheElectronic Technicianwill report directly to the Lead - Controls & Instrumentation. The primary function of this position is to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on Sanjel Energy equipment and to provide support to field operations.
Rotation - 10/4 (extensive travel required- up to 75%)
Relocation support available for exceptional candidates
Previous Oil and Gas Experience an asset (Cementing, Frac, Coil etc.)
General Responsibilities:
Maintain and exceed Sanjel Energy's high standards concerning safety, quality, efficiency and communication
Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in the district facilities and on location when required
Be on call (rotational) for unscheduled shop and field repairs
Support field operations on worksite for projects
Troubleshoot electrical/electronic equipment using schematics
Configure various data acquisition/PLC based systems and instrumentation (pressure, flow, density, and temperature)
Perform calculations to determine calibration factors for various sensors
Install and commission electrical/electronic/hydraulic/pneumatic controls and systems on Sanjel equipment
Perform equipment updates and refurbishment
Assist Engineering with the testing and release of new equipment and systems
Mentor and train new personnel (Technical and Operational)
Qualifications:
Degree or Diploma in Electronic/Electrical Engineering or Instrumentation is Required
General understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, electronic and electrical systems and components
Wiring, soldering and fabrication skills
