The Role
We are seeking an Assistant Maintenance & Facilities Manager to join our operations team. In this permanent position, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day maintenance and facilities operations of our resort property. You will combine hands‑on technical expertise with supervisory responsibilities, overseeing maintenance staff and ensuring that all facility systems and structures are maintained to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate maintenance staff, including scheduling, task assignment, and performance oversight
Conduct routine inspections of facility systems, buildings, and grounds to identify maintenance needs
Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities across accommodation, dining, and recreational facilities
Manage maintenance budgets and vendor relationships for contracted services
Respond to urgent facility issues and coordinate emergency repairsMaintain detailed records of maintenance activities and facility conditions
Ensure compliance with facility safety and operational standards
Collaborate with other departments to prioritize maintenance requests and support guest services
Qualifications
Proven experience in a maintenance supervisory role
Strong technical knowledge of building systems, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance
Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate maintenance teams
Excellent organizational and problem‑solving skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Professional communication skills and a customer-service oriented mindset
Valid driver's license (preferred)
Working Conditions
This position is based at our Lake Louise resort property. As a facilities manager at a year‑round resort, you may be required to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays depending on operational needs. The role involves both office‑based coordination and on‑site facility work.
