The City of Penticton is searching for a permanent full time Procurement Associate. In this role, you will provide procurement guidance across departments, ensuring compliance and delivering best value for the City. You’ll manage wide-ranging procurement activities while collaborating with suppliers, consultants, and stakeholders to meet critical operational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide procurement support throughout the lifecycle process
• Administer competitive procurement processes including RFQs and RFPs
• Ensure compliance with legislation and City policies
• Lead pre-bid meetings and manage stakeholder inquiries
• Conduct evaluations and negotiate contract terms
Requirements:
• Diploma or Degree in Business Administration or related field
• Minimum of three years of experience in procurement
• Knowledge of public sector procurement principles
• Proficiency in ERP systems and electronic bidding platforms
• Valid Class 5 British Columbia Driver's Licence
