About the role As the Organizational Lead - Communications you would steward the organization’s communication and information systems so that people feel supported with functional tools, accessible information and a sense of interconnectedness.
Accountabilities Practices Collaborative Leadership - compassionate communication, giving and receiving feedback,
use the decision-making protocol when working through dilemmas or proposals.
Lives into Compass ELC's vision framework, values, diversity, equality and inclusion in accordance with CELC Policies and all other relevant legislation.
Develops and stewards consistent organizational messaging and communications strategy aligned with CELC's vision framework.
Nurtures the conditions for clear, accessible, value-based communication across the organization.
Builds relationships internally across teams and externally with families, members of CELC and community partners.
Stewards the Compass brand, visual identity and public presence and works collaboratively with the Communications Coordinator on the social media strategy and analytics.
Identifies opportunities to evolve information systems and provides experience and knowledge to guide best practices.
Collaborates with the IT lead to develop an organizational technology strategy aligned with Compass' operational needs and vision framework.
Stewards' organizational practices related to information security and privacy and acts as the privacy officer.
Builds strong relationships across the communications, IT and grant project teams, the organization, and the broader community.
Collaborates with Corporate lead on advocacy strategy.
Identifies and supports with opportunities for grant proposals.
Develops and steward the website's review and implementation process for accuracy, accessibility, engaging and alignment with the organization's values,
brand and communication priorities.
Skills and Qualifications Bachelor's degree in social sciences, business or equivalent.
3-5 years' experience working in a communications position.
Clear Vulnerable Sector Check.
Excellent writing and editing skills.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
Strong time management and organizational skills.Solid understanding of effective marketing strategies.
Leads with a Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion lens.
Local community connections and networking.
