We are looking for dedicated special education teachers to join our team. Ideal applicants will be passionate about working with primary and secondary students experiencing a variety of learning needs.
Full-time
From $54,119 to $105,432 annually
Functions and duties Perform evaluations to determine students' learning abilities and challenges.
Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) based on the results of these evaluations and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
Participate in the local special education committee.
Design and implement a differentiated instruction program tailored to students' specific needs.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in special education, education or a specialization in a relevant field.
"Brevet d'enseignement", teaching permit or provisional teaching permit valid in Quebec or equivalent in another Canadian province.
Masters in special education an asset.
The Board may, at its discretion,



waive any or all of the afore-mentioned qualifications if it finds a suitable candidate who is a beneficiary of the James Bay and Northern Quebec Agreement (JBNQA) and who accepts, as a condition of employment, to follow a training plan determined by the Board.
Requirements Proficiency in the teaching language (English, French or Inuktitut).
Classification / Salary / Benefits Salary & perks as per the Teachers Collective Agreement of the Board: from $54,119 to $105,432 annually depending on experience and qualifications.
