At IREN, you will act as the Owner's Engineer for high and medium voltage substations, connecting our data centers to the grid. You will leverage over 7 years of experience in substations, producing high-quality designs, one-line diagrams, and ensuring compliance with Canadian codes. Collaboration with external consultants, utilities like BC Hydro, and a detail-oriented mindset are key for this role.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead design of substations at 12kV to 287kV
• Oversee engineering consultants and contractors
• Review engineering calculations and deliverables




• Conduct engineering studies for project assessments
• Develop standardized design templates for rapid deployment

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, P.Eng preferred
• 7+ years in substation engineering roles
• Experience with technical specifications and equipment
• Proficiency in ETAP, SKM, or PSS/E
• Solid understanding of Canadian utility standards
