Join St Barbara as a Full-Time Refiner at our Atlantic Operations in Touquoy, Nova Scotia, where safety and productivity are paramount. Oversee gold room operations, ensuring targets are consistently met.
This role reports to the Senior Metallurgist and is focused on refining gold production, from electrowinning to smelting. You’ll be instrumental in developing SOPs, managing inventories, and collaborating with colleagues to maintain a secure work culture.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee the gold room and ensure production targets are achieved
• Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures
• Coordinate maintenance and security activities in the gold room
• Manage inventories of tools and reagents effectively
• Enforce gold room security protocols and safety regulations
Requirements:
• Class 5 driver's license and relevant post-secondary education
• Technical problem-solving skills in team settings
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and maintenance programs
• Physically fit to lift up to 25kg and manage operational tasks
• Experience in product tracking from harvest to shipment
