Join the Victim/Witness Assistance Program as you assist victims and witnesses of crimes. Your role involves educating clients, providing emotional support, and advocating for their needs. Collaborating with community partners and maintaining detailed documentation will be key in ensuring clients receive comprehensive care in navigating legal challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
• Inform clients about case processes and victims' rights
• Provide emotional support and crisis intervention
• Maintain relationships with justice partners and community agencies
• Document case management and create timely notes
• Participate in service improvement projects and public education activities
Requirements:
• Proficiency in English and advanced written and spoken French
• Valid class G Ontario driver’s license for travel
• Crisis response and intervention skills
• Ability to support marginalized clients
• Relevant case management and policy knowledge
