SGS is seeking a skilled Laboratory Technician specializing in Geochemistry for the Côté Gold mine site near Gogama, Ontario. This permanent position involves driving in and out while performing critical laboratory tests.
You will work 12-hour shifts, focusing on chemical analysis and quality control. Ideal candidates will possess good hand/eye coordination and the ability to work under pressure. Responsibilities include performing assays, managing sample preparation, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform laboratory testing per SGS Standard Operating Procedures
• Conduct Quality Control checks on equipment regularly
• Prepare samples for analysis using specified methods
• Maintain accurate laboratory records and reports
• Train new employees on equipment operation
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 0-1 years relevant work experience preferred
• Science-related diploma or degree is a plus
• Experience in a laboratory setting preferred
• Proficient in MS Office applications
