Join School District No. 91 (Nechako Lakes) as a Casual Learning Support Worker in Vanderhoof, assisting students with diverse needs. Support individual and group educational programs while advocating for student success.
In this casual position, you will collaborate with school staff to address the unique requirements of students. Candidates must possess an Education Assistant Certificate and have a minimum of six months’ experience with children/youth with disabilities. You'll actively participate in school-based teams to foster a positive learning workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support students in regular or alternate education programs
• Work closely with educators to enhance student learning
• Advocate for student needs within school teams
• Assist in implementing educational plans and objectives
• Collaborate with staff to ensure student success
Requirements:
• Grade 12 diploma (Dogwood Certificate)
• Education Assistant Certificate program completion
• Six months’ experience with special needs students
• Valid BC Class 5 Driver’s License
• WHMIS 2015 Certificate and safety knowledge
