About the Role Our client, a specialized fabrication company in Kimberley , is looking for a skilled and certified Welder with expertise in structural fabrication. This role involves performing high-quality welding on various metals to construct and repair structural components according to precise specifications. You will be working with different welding techniques and ensuring the integrity and durability of fabricated structures, contributing to critical infrastructure and industrial projects.
Key Responsibilities Perform welding operations using processes such as MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on structural steel and other metals.
Read and interpret welding blueprints , shop drawings, and specifications accurately.
Prepare materials and surfaces for welding, ensuring proper fit-up and alignment.
Inspect welds for quality, integrity, and compliance with industry standards.
Operate and maintain welding equipment safely and effectively.
Adhere to all safety regulations and company procedures on the shop floor.
Requirements Proven experience as a Welder , with a focus on structural fabrication.
Valid welding certifications (e.g., Red Seal) are required.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and welding symbols.
Experience with various welding equipment and techniques.
Strong understanding of metal properties and welding best practices.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fabrication workshop environment.
