Make a difference in children’s health as a Registered Nurse at CHEO’s Emergency Department. This role focuses on patient assessments, planning, and implementing nursing care in a pediatric setting.
As a key member of the team, you will use your skills in pediatric care, triage, and family-centered approaches to support young patients and their families. Your responsibilities include evaluating care plans and ensuring compliance with nursing standards while engaging in a culturally sensitive practice. CHEO champions excellence in nursing, aiming for optimal quality of life for children.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and plan individualized nursing care for patients
• Implement and evaluate care according to best practices
• Educate patients and families on wellness strategies
• Maintain vital communication and support with families
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals for quality care
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BScN) preferred
• Minimum 2 years in pediatric Emergency setting preferred
• Current PALS certification or within 12 months
• Solid communication skills in English and French preferred
• Certification with College of Nurses of Ontario required
