Select People Solutions is searching for a Business Analyst to join our client’s team. This position is ideal for an analytical and systems-minded skilled who enjoys digging into data, understanding how different areas of a business work together, and finding opportunities to improve efficiency and performance. The successful candidate will work closely with leadership, finance, project, and administrative teams to analyze operational and financial information, improve reporting processes, and provide meaningful insights that support informed business decisions.

Position Summary: Analyze financial, operational, and project data to identify trends, variances, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement
Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, forecasts, and performance metrics to provide leadership with clear and actionable business information
Review project costs, budgets, productivity, resource utilization, and other key performance indicators to support effective planning and decision-making
Work with finance, project management, estimating, and administrative teams to ensure information is accurately captured, coded, tracked, and reported across business systems
Evaluate existing workflows, reporting practices, and internal processes,
recommending and implementing improvements that increase efficiency, accuracy, and consistency
Support the development and optimization of business systems and tools, including construction management, accounting, and data-tracking platforms
Required Qualifications: Post-secondary education in Business, Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Economics, or a related discipline
5+ years of experience in business or financial analysis role
Experience with B2W, QuickBooks, Power BI, or similar reporting and business intelligence tools
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial and operational information and translate findings into practical recommendations
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience developing reports, tracking tools, dashboards, or other data-driven resources
Proven understanding of budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, and key performance indicators; experience with project or job costing is considered an asset
Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and present information clearly to leadership
Bonus Points For: Previous experience within construction, civil construction, heavy equipment, or another project-based industry
Experience with construction management, ERP, or accounting software
