Location: Greater Toronto Area, ON (client homes)
Shift: Live-In – 24-hour shifts
What You’ll Do
Personal Support & Daily Care
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
- Support mobility, walking, and safe transfers (bed, chair, wheelchair)
Home Support
- Provide light housekeeping to maintain a clean and protected environment
- Prepare and serve meals based on client preferences and dietary needs
Health & Safety Assistance
- Offer medication reminders and support daily routines
- Complete daily care reports and communicate observations to the Case Manager or healthcare team
Companionship & Emotional Support
- Engage clients in meaningful conversation and provide reassurance
- Promote comfort, dignity, independence, and overall well-being
What We’re Looking For
- PSW Certificate required
- Minimum 1 year of caregiving or PSW experience as a live in caregiver
- CPR/First Aid Certification required
- Training in Gentle Persuasive Approaches (GPA) or Non-Violent Crisis Prevention preferred
- Ability to use a mobile phone for documentation and time tracking
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- A second language is an asset
- Reliable, compassionate, and able to respond calmly to unexpected situations
- Strong commitment to client safety, dignity, and respect
