Become a Labour Relations Officer with the National Police Federation, working remotely across Canada. Engage directly with Members, offering expert advice on labour laws and resolving disputes in a unionized setting.
In this vital role, you will support approximately 20,000 RCMP Members by interpreting labour laws and negotiating collective agreements. Your expertise will guide Local Area Representatives and Regional Directors through complex workforce issues. As part of NPF, you will foster strong relationships and ensure the rights of Members are upheld, while staying current on labour developments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze and interpret collective agreements and RCMP policies
• Mediate workplace disputes and provide guidance during investigations
• Write submissions for grievances and represent Members in hearings
• Conduct research on labour law developments and compliance
• Assist Members during critical incidents, ensuring their support
Requirements:
• Degree in labour relations or related field
• Experience in unionized labour relations
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
• Experience with case management systems
