Select People Solutions is searching for a Human Resources Generalist to join our client’s team. This is an excellent opportunity for a well-rounded HR qualified who can confidently support the full employee lifecycle while helping strengthen HR processes and day-to-day operations.
The successful candidate will bring formal education in Human Resources, a strong understanding of employment legislation and HR best practices, and the organizational skills to manage competing priorities effectively. The ideal candidate is proactive, solutions-focused, and interested in identifying opportunities to improve processes, policies, and overall workplace operations.

Compensation & Hours: The rate of pay will be $60-80K/year, based on experience and industry standards
Monday through Friday, daytime hours (40 hrs/week)

Position Summary: Manage employment-related regulatory and compliance requirements, including LMIAs, WCB claims and reporting, Employment Standards, and other applicable HR requirements
Coordinate workplace injury, modified-duty, accommodation, and return-to-work processes, working with employees, supervisors, WCB, and other stakeholders as required
Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, documentation, policies, and procedures in accordance with legislative and organizational requirements
Provide guidance to managers and employees regarding HR policies, employment practices, performance management, attendance, and employee relations
Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, policies, and administrative systems to support efficient and consistent operations
Required Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of HR experience with exposure to a variety of generalist responsibilities
Thorough understanding of HR practices, employment policies, and applicable employment legislation
Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to independently manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively with employees and leadership
Proactive and improvement-focused mindset with solid attention to detail and the ability to identify opportunities for greater operational efficiency
Bonus Points For: Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration with an HR focus, or a related discipline
Previous HR experience within a manufacturing, production, or similar operational environment
Working toward or holding a CPHR designation
