Contribute to the care of children at Lakeridge Health as a Registered Nurse. This part time role focuses on mental and physical health assessments within the Child and Adolescent Inpatient unit.
As a part of Lakeridge Health's multidisciplinary team, the Registered Nurse will facilitate treatment plans and provide vital interventions for youth facing mental health challenges. Candidates should have a minimum of three years' experience in Inpatient or Community Mental Health, preferably with children and adolescents. Key responsibilities include crisis management, medication administration, and maintaining patient care documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive mental and physical health assessments
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Manage medication administration effectively
• Facilitate group therapy sessions and individual support
• Document care metrics and participate in clinical meetings
Requirements:
• Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Ontario
• Minimum three years of relevant mental health nursing experience
• Certification in Child and Adolescent Mental Health preferred
• Proven ability to assess and intervene in youth mental health issues
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
