This Opportunity:
We are currently looking to fill a part-time, permanent Personal Support Worker (Internally known as Support Services Attendant) role in our Southwest Region.

Schedule:
Includes mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Wage:
$18.88 per hour plus a $3.00 wage enhancement where it applies

Hours:
Up to 30 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

Assists clients in their own homes with non-medical activities of daily living in accordance with individual service plans and with March of Dimes Canada policies and procedures:

Personal care

Lifts and Transfers

Rising/retiring

Bowel and bladder procedures

Meal preparation and feeding

Range of motion exercises

Other light housekeeping duties

Performs duties in a professional manner,



which respects the dignity and right to privacy and maintains client and staff health and safety.

Qualifications:

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

High School Diploma

Current Standard First Aid and CPR certification or be willing to obtain within three months of hire

Experience working with people with physical disabilities; experience/knowledge/understanding of Independent Living or client-based care

Knowledge of and abilities in transferring, lifting, bowel and bladder routines and other attendant care duties

Physical Demands Self-Analysis Required upon hire

Good interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to work versatile and regularly scheduled hours
