Qualifications and Experience Certified through the BC Teacher Regulation Branch.

Bachelor’s Degree in Education required.

Required course load for a particular subject area at the high school level (12 UBC units, second year or greater).

Successful classroom teacher experience and/or pre-service experience in a secondary school setting.

Demonstrated proficiency to work collaboratively with colleagues.

Demonstrated ability to maintain skills through qualified learning.

Knowledge and understanding of the effects of colonization within the education system and its impact on teaching and learning in today’s schools.

Experience integrating Indigenous perspectives into the curriculum together with practicing Indigenous ways of teaching and learning Assignment: Continuing Contract, commencing as soon as practicable or by second semester (February 2027) (1.0 FTE) Salary: $62,657 - $113,004 per annum
