Our client is looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join a wholesale distribution organization in Calgary , Alberta on a long-term contract basis.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys detailed financial work, can manage a high volume of invoices accurately, and works well in a collaborative team workplace.

The position also offers exposure to user testing and upcoming system enhancements.

Responsibilities: Process high-volume invoices, including coding, approvals, and system entry.

Perform three-way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and receiving documents.

Prepare twice-weekly payment batches, including cheques, EFTs, and wires.

Process journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations to support month-end.

Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment discrepancies.

Prepare and review reports to track invoice status and identify outstanding items.

Use Excel to organize, analyze, and maintain financial data.

Participate in user acceptance testing and support the transition from Pro-Class to Prophet 21/Epicor cloud systems.
