Work Term: Temporary Work Language: English Hours: 28 to 50 hours bi-weekly Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate Experience: 5 years or more Tasks Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions Address customers' complaints or concerns Mountain driving expertise Professionalism in customer service Arrange travel, related itineraries and make reservations Drive lighter, special purpose trucks Load and unload goods Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment Perform emergency roadside repairs Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle Receive and relay information to central dispatch Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption Documentation knowledge Accident or incident reports Driver logbook Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip)
