Facilities Management at Mount Saint Vincent University invites applications for the position of Custodian.
Daily cleaning of designated areas
Recyclable and garbage collection
Floor and carpet care
Floor maintenance and refinishing
Setting up, moving or dismantling of furniture
Snow and ice removal around entrances
Cleaning and minor maintenance of custodial equipment
Other duties as directed by the department
You're a team player with the ability to perform all duties of the position, communicate effectively and demonstrate a willingness to participate actively in ongoing training
A positive attitude, adaptability, initiative, and the ability to work with minimal supervision are essential
Possession of WHMIS certification and experience in the use of industrial cleaning equipment and chemicals is considered an asset
Flexibility in scheduling is a must as these positions require evening and weekend shift work
Classification Permanent, Full time IUOE Level 4 Position
Starting Salary $21.50 per hour ($44,720 per annum based on a 40-hour work week)
