Process Control Engineer Co-Op/Intern - Summer 2027 Where will you work: K2 site at Highway 22. Esterhazy, SK S0A 0X0. Mosaic Potash Esterhazy is an underground potash mine located 90 kilometers south of Yorkton. It’s split between three mine sites - K1, K2 and K3 which will be the largest, and one of the world’s most competitive underground potash mines in the world. Housing and relocation can be provided for qualified candidates.
Term May 2027 up to 8 months Full time Co-Op/Internship. Typically, 36-40 hours a week. In person. 9/80 schedule if applicable.
What you’ll do Learn and develop key industrial process control skills to assist site subject matter experts
Complete process control projects targeted at reducing operational variability to improve key metrics like recovery
Work closely with operations and the process engineering teams to identify areas for improvement and propose solutions
Support circuit optimization efforts, including field checks, Key Performance Indicator (KPI) tracking, and performance monitoring to sustain operational success.
Conduct field checks and contribute to system validation for new projects.
Participate in site safety initiatives by engaging in the behavior-based safety program, near-miss reporting, and risk reduction projects.
Develop and implement online production monitoring dashboards using PI visualization tool.
Communicate with various levels of personnel throughout the organization, including management, plant operators, engineers (of various disciplines), tradespersons, and contractors.
Participation in department meetings and meetings specific to the project assignment.
Adhering to Mosaic’s mission, guiding principles and priorities, and key competencies.
What you’ll need Pursuing a bachelor's in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or other applicable disciplines.
Ability to function in an industrial chemical and mining setting.
Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license - You will need to be able to travel to and from sites and/or office.




Ability to work full timeand be a student in standing at the time of the co-op/internship
Selected candidates will be required to successfully complete post-offer/pre-placementdrug and alcohol screening, background check, physical, functional capacity examination.
Basic computer skills are required Eagerness to learn new skills and develop as an engineer Experience working in a team environment is a must Effective verbal communication skills is a plus Physical work workplace is occasionally outdoors with exposure to varying degrees of hot and cold environments The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the functions of this job.
