Role: Java GCP Developer (REST API, GKE & Terraform IaaC) Location: Toronto, NS (Remote) Type: Contract Description: We are looking for a highly skilled Java GCP (GKE) Developer with strong expertise in REST API development and hands-on experience in Terraform-based Infrastructure as a Code (IaaC).

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing scalable Java microservices, building robust APIs, and deploying cloud-native applications in GCP environments using modern Dev

Ops practices.

Client ideally want GraphQL but in the absence of it, client will be fine with solid Rest API experience but resource must lean GraphQL post joining the project Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade Java applications and microservices.

Develop highly scalable and secure REST APIs using Java and Spring Boot.

Build and deploy cloud-native applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Deploy, manage, and monitor containerized applications on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).

Implement and maintain Infrastructure as a Code (IaaC) using Terraform for automated provisioning and deployment.

Collaborate with Dev

Ops, Architecture, and Product teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Develop and support CI/CD pipelines for automated build, testing, and deployment processes.





Troubleshoot application, infrastructure, and deployment (in Terraform) issues in cloud environments.

Ensure adherence to coding standards, security best practices, and cloud governance policies.

Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical planning sessions.

Required Skills & Qualifications: Java Development, Strong hands-on experience with Java 8/11/17+.

Expertise in Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, and Microservices Architecture.

Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and design principles. REST API Development (Mandatory) Extensive experience designing and developing REST APIs.

Cloud & Containerization Strong experience in Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) deployments and operations.

Terraform IaaC (Preferred / Strongly Desired) Hands-on experience building and managing cloud infrastructure using Terraform.

Dev

Ops & CI/CD Experience with Git and Cloud
