Embark on an exciting Engineering Co-op focused on System Integrity with FortisBC in Surrey, BC. This role offers hands-on experience with geotechnical tasks, data analysis, and pipeline inspection in a collaborative workplace.
FortisBC is looking for a third or fourth-year Bachelor of Engineering student to join our System Integrity team. This co-op position includes opportunities for engagement with engineers and managers across various departments, giving you insights into the workings of pipeline integrity management. You will focus on geotechnical hazard management and ILI data analysis to support our commitment to sustainable energy.
Key Responsibilities:
• Execute geotechnical hazard management programs
• Validate ILI data and conduct analyses
• Develop procedures for data analysis tasks
• Provide support for pipeline integrity activities
• Coordinate site inspections with stakeholders
Requirements:
• Enrollment in a Bachelor of Engineering program
• Co-op program participation required
• Valid driver’s license needed
• Experience in Excel VBA is a plus
• Strong analytical and communication skills
